CAFFEINE

Caffeine

Caffeine is a natural stimulant found in tea, coffee, and cocoa plants. For most adults, consuming up to 400 mg of caffeine per day (about 4 cups of brewed coffee, 10 cans of cola, or two energy drinks) is considered safe and within the recommended limit.

Caffeine works by stimulating the central nervous system. Upon reaching the brain, it enhances alertness and energy, raises blood pressure and heart rate, and can improve mood. The peak effects of caffeine are usually felt within 30 to 60 minutes after consumption.

It’s important to monitor your caffeine intake. Excessive consumption may lead to side effects such as irritability, headaches, sleep disturbances, increased blood pressure, and anxiety.

While caffeine is the most widely used stimulant, providing various benefits to the body, excessive daily intake can lead to dependency. It’s important to stick to the recommended dosage and enjoy caffeine in moderation.
