General Overview:

Prevenar 13 is designed to stimulate the immune system to help the body prevent infections caused by 13 common serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae (1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, 23F).

The vaccine provides protection against those 13 serotypes that are most frequently responsible for pneumococcal infections and are known to cause the most severe cases, particularly in infants, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals.

Prevenar 13 is presented as a sterile injectable suspension, pre-filled in single-use syringes (each containing a 0.5 mL dose) - The preparation is ready for direct intramuscular administration without the need for additional manipulation.

The vaccine contains both active and excipient (inactive) components.

Storage Conditions:

• Store in a refrigerator at a temperature between +2°C and +8°C;
• Do not freeze - freezing may damage the vaccine’s structure and reduce its effectiveness;
• The expiration date printed on the packaging must be checked prior to use.
