Hepatitis B Vaccine
HBV Vaccine
The vaccine contains the HBV surface antigen (HBsAg), which is produced using genetically modified microorganisms, enhancing the immune system’s response to the virus without causing the disease.
Vaccination helps prevent acute and chronic liver diseases caused by HBV, including hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer.
The vaccine is used as part of the mandatory immunization schedule for newborns and is also recommended for high-risk groups, healthcare workers, and other eligible individuals.
