The purpose of the examination is to study the structural and functional characteristics of the heart using ultrasound waves, which are displayed visually on a specialized monitor.
The examination allows for the assessment of various parts of the heart – the left and right ventricles, atria and ventricles, septum, valvular apparatus, myocardial layers, and the pericardium.
Through ultrasound signals, it is also possible to detect the thickness of the heart muscle tissue, its motion dynamics, and the coordination between heart chambers.
Cardiac Ultrasound provides detailed information for assessing both anatomical and physiological processes, which is especially important during the initial diagnostic phase as well as for long-term monitoring.
It is also important to note that the procedure is safe, does not use ionizing radiation, and can be performed multiple times.
