Training Objectives

The training aims to strengthen participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in quality management within clinical laboratories.

It focuses on proper planning and execution of laboratory processes (pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases) in line with international standards, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and patient safety.

Participants will be introduced to regulatory requirements and systems such as ISO 15189, EUCAST, GCLP, and others, as well as quality control methods, documentation management, accreditation requirements, and modern approaches to laboratory safety.


Brief Training Description

The training covers:

  • Basic principles of quality management in a clinical laboratory;
  • Organizational structure;
  • Resource and process management;
  • Safety standards;
  • Practical methods of quality control.

Participants will become familiar with all stages of the laboratory cycle - pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical, including the specifics of sample collection, transportation, processing, and data management.

The training also addresses:

  • The 12 elements of ISO 15189;
  • Accreditation and documentation management requirements;
  • The role of laboratory technologies in quality improvement and modern safety approaches.
